What happens on the third day of the tour?
Instead of packing up and leaving, Day 3 is dedicated entirely to exploring the Sahara. You will take a 4×4 excursion to visit nomadic families, see the Gnaoua people in Dar Gnaoua, and explore hidden desert oases.
Are the tents in the Merzouga camp shared?
No, your stay includes 2 overnights in a luxury desert camp equipped with private tents that have their own private bathrooms for maximum comfort and privacy.
Is the drive back to Marrakech on Day 4 the same route?
No, to make the trip more scenic, the return journey goes through the Draa Valley via Nkob instead of back through the Dades Valley, offering new landscapes and passing Morocco’s longest oasis.
How long is the camel trek in Merzouga?
The camel ride into the desert on Day 2 is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes long, timed perfectly so you arrive at the high dunes just as the sun sets.
