Next, visit the Cedar forests of Azrou to see the famous Barbary macaques. Continue to Midelt, a town known for its minerals and apples, situated between the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, for lunch. Afterward, cross the Tizi N’Tlghamt pass to Errachidia, stopping for panoramic views of the Ziz Valley, the land of dates. Drive through Erfoud to reach Merzouga. Here, your camel guide awaits for a 1-hour and 20-minute trek into the dunes, stopping for an incredible sunset. Arrive at the well-equipped camp for Moroccan tea, a delicious dinner, and an evening of Berber and African music around the campfire.
Overnight at the desert camp.

Day 2: Full Day To Explore Merzouga Desert

After breakfast at the camp, explore the desert by 4×4. Start with a panoramic view of the Sahara from a high mountain near the dunes. Visit nomad families living near the Algerian border to learn about their culture and share a cup of tea. Next, explore the M’ifis mineral mines to see how workers extract marble and fossils from the mountains. Continue to Khamlia village, inhabited by the Gnawa people, famous worldwide for their spiritual music. Enjoy a traditional Berber pizza and dance to the Gnawa rhythms. Later, take a walking tour through a Sahara oasis filled with almond, palm, and fig trees. Return to the camp for tea, dinner, and another magical night under the stars with music around the fire.
Overnight at the desert camp.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes
