FAQs

Why do we drive back to Midelt on Day 4 instead of going to a different city?
Returning to Midelt breaks up the long drive back to Fes into two relaxed days. It allows you to enjoy the beautiful Middle Atlas mountain scenery without rushing, giving you a comfortable pace on the final leg of your trip.

Is the drive from Fes to Merzouga very long?
Yes, the direct drive takes about 7 to 8 hours. However, we break it up with beautiful stops in Ifrane, the Azrou cedar forest, and the Ziz Valley, making the journey highly scenic and enjoyable.

What will we see during the 4×4 excursion on Day 3?
You will get off the beaten path to visit nomadic Berber families living in tents, explore the M’ifis mineral mines, visit the village of Khamlia for a private Gnawa music performance, and walk through a lush desert oasis.

Can I skip the camel ride on Day 4 morning?
Yes, if you prefer not to ride the camel back from the desert camp on the morning of Day 4, you can simply take the 4×4 vehicle directly back to Merzouga village to meet your driver.
