Depart for Volubilis to explore ancient Roman ruins and mosaics. Visit Meknes to see Bab Mansour, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and Heri es-Souani. Continue to Fes, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco.

Explore the Royal Palace gates, Bou Inania Madrasa, and Al-Qarawiyyin University. Visit the traditional tanneries and the bustling medina of Fes el-Bali. Discover the Al-Attarine Madrasa and Nejjarine Museum. Spend the afternoon in Fes el-Jdid exploring the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and local markets.

Scenic drive through the Middle Atlas with a stop in Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou to see wild monkeys. Lunch in Midelt before heading through the Ziz Valley. Arrival in Merzouga for a camel trek into the desert, stopping for sunset on a high dune. Enjoy dinner, Berber music around the fire, and stargazing at the desert camp.

Early wake-up for sunrise over the dunes. Return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 and visit the Rissani Market. Continue to the dramatic Todra Gorges for a walk along the cliffs. Drive through the Dades Valley with scenic stops and panoramic views.

How long is the drive from Tangier to Chefchaouen?
The drive takes about 2 to 2.5 hours, but it is broken up by a scenic drive through the Rif Mountains and a guided visit to the UNESCO-listed medina of Tetouan along the way.
Will I have a guide in Fes and Marrakech?
Yes, Day 4 features a full-day guided tour of Fes with a local expert. On Day 8 in Marrakech, an optional morning guided tour is included to show you the main historical landmarks.
Is the road over the High Atlas Mountains safe?
Yes, the Tizi n’Tichka pass is a well-paved, safe road. It offers incredible panoramic views, and your experienced driver will navigate the winding mountain roads safely.
Can I fly out of Marrakech on the last day?
Yes, Day 8 concludes with your guided tour of Marrakech in the morning, followed by free time. We will then transfer you directly to Marrakech Menara Airport for your departure flight.
